Anthony Dente’s Merrill Turntable with Rare Merrill Prototype Arm
Anthony writes: “I got back to vinyl while living in South Texas. I met someone who knew Mr. Merrill and he got my table from him.”
Anthony continues: “Mr. Merrill told me that the arm is a prototype of his and because of CD he thought it was a waste of time to produce more. It is the only one ever made.”
I emailed Mr. Merrill upon getting these photos from Anthony. George says the arm was manufactured by Jelco out of Japan. It has improved bearings and better armtube damping over the run-of-the mill AR arm.
